Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key has two buttons: one that opens the trunk, and the other which starts the vehicle. The key also comes with a switch that allows you to turn on the parking brake. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors when parking in a tight area. This feature makes it easier to get into and out of your car.

The key is made from vegetable tanned leather and takes over two days to make each one. It is hand cut, shaped, sewn, sealed and polished to provide an excellent finish. It is lightweight and durable and matches the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton's large car key, but feels more substantial and premium.

Secure-A-Key is also included to prevent keyless entry theft. This device is inserted into the remote control fob, and it shuts it down when the key has not been used for more than a few minutes. It stops thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which can be used to unlock and start the car.

The Crewe factory workers don't use a machine to space perfectly matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. Drivers are required to park their vehicles manually, rather than using sensors built into the vehicle to guide them into parallel and perpendicular spots.

During the event, Bentley showcased its Mulliner personalization options with one of a kind of the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays homage to the founder William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars come with an item key that shows the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
